Travel and supporter notes

For visiting supporters considering travel, key practical notes:

Distance between venues: The 16 venues span 4 time zones. A US Coast-to-Coast trip (East Rutherford to Inglewood) is ~2,800 miles and a 6-hour flight. Most teams base themselves in one or two metro areas to minimise travel.

Border crossings: Visiting supporters traveling between Canada and US matches need standard ESTA/Visa documentation. Mexico-US crossings require valid passports. FIFA's "Hayya" card (introduced at Qatar 2022) is used as a fan ID for the 2026 tournament and may simplify some border procedures.

Accommodation: Hotel prices in host cities have risen 200-400% above baseline for match days. AirBnB inventory is significantly reduced. Booking 6+ months ahead is recommended.

Currency: US Dollar in 11 cities, Canadian Dollar in 2, Mexican Peso in 3. Most major credit cards work universally but cash in local currency is recommended for taxis and small vendors.
